Critical Skills Training: Hostage Rescue
Critical Skills Training: Hostage Rescue Operations
Duration: 4 days (13-16 August, 2026)
Location: The Ranch in Dilley TX
Restrictions: Law Enforcement, Military or Government Agencies
This intensive four-day Critical Skills Training is designed for experienced law enforcement, tactical team, and special operations personnel seeking to enhance individual and team performance in high-risk operations. The course focuses on developing repeatable, performance-based skills through extensive practical application rather than classroom-heavy instruction. Students will refine critical competencies in high performance shooting, Tactical Combat Casualty Care (TCCC) and Stop the Bleed interventions, close quarters battle (CQB), hostage rescue tactics, breaching integration, and mission execution under stress. This is not an entry-level course; attendees are expected to possess a solid foundation in firearms handling, CQB principles, and basic medical skills prior to attendance.
Training progresses from individual and small-team skill development to increasingly complex hostage rescue operations, incorporating mechanical, ballistic, and energetic breaching methods. The final training day culminates in full-mission-profile scenarios that require students to integrate tactical decision-making, communication, marksmanship, medical response, breaching, and rescue operations in realistic environments. Live-fire CQB training will be incorporated when safety standards and student performance criteria are met; however, live-fire evolutions are not guaranteed. Upon completion, students will have enhanced their ability to operate effectively in high-risk rescue environments while reinforcing the fundamentals that drive safe, consistent, and successful mission outcomes. The skills developed and refined during this course are applicable to hostage rescue, barricaded suspect operations, high-risk warrant service, active threat response, and other critical incidents requiring coordinated tactical action.
